| Tawny Owl The most common but most nocturnal of British owls, often heard but rarely sighted. The tawny owl can sometimes be seen in woodland, farmland, parks or even in your own garden. The characteristic cries are either a long quavering hoot or a sharp “Ke-wick".” |
